Starting college is exciting and we are here to help you with your next steps. New Student Sessions are for first-time college students who have applied to PCC and plan to take classes toward a degree or certificate. At your session, you can:
- Learn your next steps as a new student
- Get help choosing and registering for classes with advisor support
- Connect with campus resources and support services
- Ask questions and get help

Do I have to attend a session?
No. Sessions are not required. However, we strongly recommend all first-time college students attend a New Student Session before registering for classes. During the session, you can get help choosing and registering for classes for your first term.
Can I attend online?
Yes. Many sessions are available online.
What should I bring?
Bring:
- Your PCC student ID number (G#)
- Any questions you have
Can family members attend?
Yes, unless a session says otherwise.
What if I miss my session?
You can sign up for another session.
