Mechatronics, Automation, and Robotics Engineering Technology, associate degree

Instructor in the EET lab

From medicine to food processing to auto assembly to computer chips, mechatronics, automation, and robotics – the combination of mechanical, electronic, and computer engineering – is at the very heart of quality control, reliability, consistency, and profitability.

It’s a new, interdisciplinary field that is changing at a dramatic rate, driven by new technology, innovation, and global demand. And it’s one of the fastest-growing careers in the world.

Why choose Mechatronics, Automation, and Robotics Engineering Technology º£ÌÄÖ±²¥?

Mechatronics, Automation, and Robotics Engineering Technology is a unique area within PCC’s historically strong Electronic Engineering Technology (EET) program. Mechatronics, Automation, and Robotics Engineering Technology trains students to excel through a variety of learning activities in and out of the classroom.

For more than 50 years, our EET program has produced graduates whose superior skills and abilities have helped them obtain excellent jobs and pursue advanced degrees. The difference between Mechatronics, Automation, and Robotics Engineering Technology and the EET program is small – more than two-thirds of the classes overlap – so you can easily get training in both areas and make yourself more marketable.

  • Our diversified courses, coupled with state-of-the-art technology and equipment, offer you a unique and affordable way to learn the skills that enable you to become an engineering technician.
  • As a graduate of PCC’s Mechatronics, Automation, and Robotics Engineering Technology program, you’ll combine the theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and teamwork required to be a valued member of the industry.
  • Our instructors’ industry experience ensures that you receive training that’s practical, efficient, and effective.
