Details about this class

Bienvenidos to ED 112 - Children's Literature!

I am Ceci de Valdenebro the instructor for this class. I am glad you are here!

ED 112 introduces students to a wide range of children’s literature, including authors, illustrators, current and classic works, book awards, artistic and literary elements, genres, book discussion techniques, and audio-visual and electronic formats.

In this class, we will build a supportive learning community while reading, discussing, and sharing our experiences with children’s books. Together, we will explore how literature can foster imagination, identity, empathy, and a love of reading in young learners.

Since the course is online with no zoom meetings, you’ll have the flexibility to work on your own schedule. To make the most of this experience, I recommend setting a weekly routine to stay on track. Staying engaged each week will help you feel connected and confident as you move through the course content.

If you have any questions regarding this class, do not hesitate to contact me - ceci.devaldenebro@pcc.edu
