Details about this class

This class is online (no scheduled meetings), and the course does not have any required virtual Zoom or in-person sessions. There is no required textbook for this course. Each week, students will read current and relevant articles and watch videos to learn about personal health.

This class will approach personal health topics with a systems perspective. This means that we will explore how various factors influence our health, including genetics, behaviors, our family, peers, the community we live in, the organizations we engage with, and the social and built environment. 

There will be weekly discussions and short quizzes that students will participate in. There are 3 assignments throughout the term. If you have questions, please email: rachelle.katter@pcc.edu. I am happy to help or answer any questions you have. 

Technology

There is no additional technology required for this class.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
