Details about this class
Welcome to math class - I'm looking forward to meeting you! My goal is to make math less intimidating and to show practical applications of each topic. This is an in-person math class that meets two times a week.
Class will be a mix of interactive lecture, individual work and collaborative work. You will have weekly homework, 2 exams and a final exam during the term.
Students who register for this section must also enroll in a 1 credit support course (CRN 44940). Make sure to register for both CRN's at the same time. The support course meets one hour before the parent MTH 105 class in the same classroom. Altogether the support course (1 credit, Pass/No Pass) and the parent math class (4 credits) is 5 credits total.
Technology
This is a class where technology is encouraged. We will use free on-line calculators and google sheets. We will be using a free OER textbook and free online homework system.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
Students with disabilities
Students with disabilities should notify their instructor if accommodations are needed to take this class. For information about technologies that help people with disabilities taking Online based classes please visit the Disability Services website.
