The class will have weekly activities which consist of:  reading and studying the posted slides, viewing pre-recorded videos,  review of assigned sections of the Portland Zoning Codes, and Oregon Structural Specialty Codes, answering quiz questions, completing case studies, and making a Discussion Post on a given topic (related to the codes).  The Zoning and Building Codes we will use are fully available online, for no charge.

For this online class, you will only need access to a computer.  There are some short written assignments, where you will need to enter information into a Word doc; if you use Mac word software, you will need to save as a pdf.  There is one optional "concept" drawing/sketch option for the Term Project; you can use AutoCAD or Revit, or simply sketch by hand (drafted or freehand).  Any CAD drawings need to be saved as a pdf.  Any sketches can be scanned and submitted electronically.  If you are not familiar with architectural drawing or sketching, an alternate Term Project option will be available.
