Details about this class
This CADD 126 section is fully online and asynchronous, meaning there is no lecture or zoom meetings and is a self paced environment. The course opens at 6am Monday and found through your MyPCC D2L link. You will work through the weekly modules at your own pace during the week until another weekly module opens Monday morning at 6am. This will be the case until the end of the term. You will be learning through textbook content, help discussions, homework help videos, AutoCAD content videos, plus support and feedback from instructor as needed.
AutoCAD software can be found . Create your Autodesk account using your PCC.edu email for access to all AutoDesk software. Suggest installing before the term starts. There is a Macintosh version, but the menus are slightly different. Students have been able to successfully use the Macintosh version for this class however.
Note: There is a free OER textbook used for the class. You do not need to buy a textbook!

Technology
A free AutoCAD student license will be available for students to install on their home computer. Instructions for obtaining the license will be provided at the beginning of the term. To run AutoCAD, students must have access to a computer that meets minimum requirements. The hardware requirements to run AutoCAD can be found at this link:
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
