Details about this class
Welcome to WR 105! In this class we'll dive into the unique genre of scholarship writing. You'll come away from this class with well-written essays and submitted applications to major scholarships.
Feeling intimidated about writing about yourself for scholarships and applications? No problem! In this class we'll confront the sometimes overwhelming process of autobiographical writing with humor and introspection and we'll learn how to write concise and compelling scholarship applications.
We'll meet online once per week Tuesdays from 11am-12:50pm. Attendance is required and I ask that cameras be on and students come to class ready to participate in group discussions, peer feedback, and writing exercises.
Technology
You'll need access to a computer with a camera.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
Students with disabilities
Students with disabilities should notify their instructor if accommodations are needed to take this class. For information about technologies that help people with disabilities taking Online based classes please visit the Disability Services website.
