Teen Beginning Sailing

Learn the basics of sailing this summer! Discover small boat sailing while learning drills and games designed to practice important boat handling skills. Teen students will learn to sail in two person, 14-foot C420 dinghies. This camp is taught by U.S. Sailing certified instructors and follows the U.S. Sailing beginner curriculum. All sailors will be expected to complete a water comfort check with a lifejacket. For ages 12-17.

*Be sure to bring lunch, snacks and water bottle.

*Sign up for both Boat Building Camp and Sailing Camp for a FULL day experience near the water! Both camps take place at Willamette Sailing Club.

Important INFO:

鈼 Bring extra change of clothes. (You will get wet!)

鈼 Towel

鈼 Close-toed water type shoes or sneakers that can get wet.

鈼 Shorts or quick drying clothes (preferably not cotton).

鈼 Quick-dry sport shirt, long sleeve depending on weather.

鈼 Light jacket or windbreaker.

鈼 Swimsuit or other under layers.

鈼 Water bottle (label your name on it!)

鈼 Sunscreen, hat and/or sunglasses.

鈼廝FD Lifejacket (Coast Guard Approved...there will also be extras to use.)

鈼 Extra Pair of Shoes

WSC (Willamette Sailing Club) is located in John's Landing at 6336 S Beaver Ave Portland, OR 97239.

*From Downtown head south on Macadam Avenue, turn left just after the Chevron Fuel Station.
