Energy Trust of Oregon鈥檚 Strategic Energy Management Update

This year, the Rock Creek campus will be participating in the . The Strategic Energy Management program聽is a cohort-based energy management effort where participating organizations gain聽energy savings in building operations and occupant behavior. It focuses on both the聽technical and human aspects to ensure maximum benefits.
The Energy Trust is partnering with Strategic Energy Group for this initiative. It聽requires participation in several workshops, focusing on organizational and聽technical aspects, and also provides one-on-one sessions, tools, and templates to聽enhance energy management. The program is designed so that participating聽organizations can also learn from one another. This year鈥檚 cohort has participants聽from higher education, government, and the private sector.
PCC鈥檚 team will be led by the executive sponsor, Dr. Fowler-Hill, and the Energy聽Champion, Laura Ward. Others from facilities, sustainability, campus leadership, IT,聽finance, etc. will be involved. The program is free of cost and estimated value is聽$100,000. PCC will receive incentives for energy saved at $0.02 per kWh and $0.20聽per therm.
