We are excited to announce the launch of our new fully outdoor, nature-based learning program this Fall! This unique program is designed around the belief that children learn best through direct experiences in the natural world. As part of this initiative, children will spend 100% of their program day outdoors, engaging in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences in all seasons and weather conditions.
Our outdoor environment will serve as the classroom, providing endless opportunities for exploration, creativity, problem-solving, physical activity, and social-emotional growth. Children will participate in activities such as nature exploration, gardening, outdoor art, sensory experiences, storytelling, and child-led play, all while developing resilience, confidence, and a strong connection to the natural world.
Research continues to demonstrate the many benefits of outdoor learning, including improved focus, reduced challenging behaviors, enhanced physical health, and stronger overall child outcomes. By embracing a fully outdoor model, we aim to create a rich and engaging learning environment that supports the development of the whole child.
The program calendar will follow the same schedule as our traditional classrooms. However, the daily class hours for the outdoor program will be from 8am to 2pm. We are thrilled to begin this exciting new chapter and look forward to partnering with families as we foster curiosity, discovery, and a lifelong appreciation for nature.
