1. Finish the simple past paper from class. Use pages 162 and 253 in the textbook to help you. Click this link for the worksheet:
2. Write your answers to these questions:
- Why is it important to do your homework?
- How does homework help you learn English?
- How does the homework help you on the test?
Please write your own answers to these questions. Don’t use A.I.! Send Davida your answers before class.
We finished Unit 4 today. We took the Unit 4 Test. We are moving on to Unit 10.
Davida passed out the Unit 10 Packet in class. It will be due on Monday, June 8. The Unit 10 Test will be on Monday, June 8.
Look at your textbook:
Units 4 and 5 are on simple present.
Units 6 and 7 are on present progressive (=present continuous)
Units 8, 9, and 10 are on simple past.
If you understand using do/does + base form and don’t/doesn’t + base form for simple present, you will be able to understand using did + base form and didn’t + base form for simple past!
Even though we are jumping to Unit 10, you can still read the other units to get more information and practice!
Our last day of class will be Wednesday, June 10. Davida will meet with each student and give you your pink registration papers.
The first day of summer term will be Monday, June 22.
There are Level 2 and Level 3 classes in the morning, at night, and on Zoom at night. Summer term is shorter than other terms. It is 8 weeks. Classes meet on Mondays and Wednesdays, not on Fridays. I
- f you already know you want to take summer term off, tell Davida.
- If you know you want to study at night instead of during the day or on Zoom instead of in-person, tell Davida.
Davida will have a conversation with you about whether you are continuing in Level 2 or moving on to Level 3.
Remember, most students study in Level 2 for 3 or more terms. There is a lot of information to learn and practice!
I want to submit your photos and writing to the ESOL Ambassador, but you must complete the release form first. This is the.
I only got forms from Qiao Ling and Danay in class today.
