WHAT WE WILL LEARN THIS WEEK:��

We will continue with Unit 9 this week and get lots of practice with regular past tense verbs, use them in sentences and when we speak. ��We will start practicing for our Speaking Assessment, Pt2 by showing our 3 community photographs and talking about them in small groups.

Homework due on Monday: 05/18

• (This assignment is for the Speaking Assessment Part 2)

  1. Talk about 3 favorite places in your community that you always visit.�� Using your cellphone, take��three (3) PICTURES of��community places around your neighborhood.�� (your workplace, school, park, place of worship, gym, etc.)

  You will talk about these cellphone photos with a tester/teacher.�� Here����are some of the important things you need to talk about��during your��Assessment:

  • What is the name of the place?�� Where is its location?
  • Describe the place. Use��“there is” and/or “there are” to talk about 3 objects in each photo
  • Use some��prepositions of location��(in, on, next to, in front of, in the corner of, behind)
  • How often do you go?
  • Would you recommend that other students visit this place? Why?
